The founders
Enterprise-born · Lab-built

Built by people who lived the problem.

Combined, Harpreet and Bhakta bring five decades of enterprise experience — from telecom to Fortune 500 R&D to AI platforms. They didn't found SphotaLabs to chase a trend. They built the company they always wished they'd had.

Harpreet Singh

Harpreet Singh

Co-Founder

Background

Senior leader in technical product at a major Canadian telecom — wireless and wireline portfolios.

Track record

A serial intrapreneur at a national carrier — drove digital transformation of the wholesale business unit and launched process- and systems-simplification initiatives that remain in production years later. Deep background in product development, process improvement, and business intelligence, with hands-on experience across all aspects of service development from concept to delivery.

Credentials

Contributed to MEF quoting and qualification API standards — helping define how carriers exchange service data industry-wide.

Education

MBA, Management of Information Systems — Simon Fraser University. Co-authored the Ivey Publishing case study "Paybox.net: Mobilizing mCommerce" — distributed worldwide through Harvard Business Publishing and translated into 12 languages.

Why SphotaLabs

A career inside large enterprises showed how skilled teams still lose hours re-keying data between systems. Every automation and simplification initiative he shipped was a step toward making that stop — SphotaLabs is where that conviction becomes products.

Owns at Sphota Labs

Automation strategy and operator-facing experience across SphotaLabs products.

Personal

Father of two boys — loves spending time with them building something new. To unwind: pickleball or a swim.

Bhakta Pamidipati

Bhakta Pamidipati

Co-Founder

Background

An engineer shaped by mechanical, digital, and organizational systems - now focused on making technology help people decide faster and smarter.

Track record

Over 25 years, Bhakta moved from early engineering roles into global R&D leadership at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he modernized information governance platforms, and later IBM, where he pioneered monitoring technologies that influenced enterprise infrastructure tools.

Credentials

At TELUS, he architected AI-driven platforms for market and customer intelligence. Across those roles he became the person teams trusted when data was messy, the problem was complex, and the stakes were high.

Education

MBA, JNT University. Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering. His education grounded the systems thinking that later shaped his enterprise architecture work.

Why SphotaLabs

He saw the same pattern repeat everywhere: enterprises had abundant data, but scarce intelligence. Documents, signals, and unstructured information kept piling up, while teams still lacked the clarity to act with confidence.

Owns at Sphota Labs

SphotaLabs is his answer to that gap: AI systems that understand documents, context, and business logic with precision, then turn information into action at scale.

Personal

Curious by nature, he is driven by reinvention and resilience. Outside work he plays badminton and recharges outdoors, carrying the same energy into the company he is building.
